I’ve seen many people writing about what they are taking with them. One thing everyone mentions is that it’s worth packing as light as possible. Makes sence, although it’s easier said than done. Anyway, here’s my version.
Packing list
Clothes
pants (transform into shorts)
shorts
4x t-shirts
long sleeve t-shirt
5x underwear
4x socks
wind breaker
icebreaker jacket
swimwear
hat
money/document belt
Shoes
sandals
hiking/sports shoes
Toiletries
toothbrush, paste and floss
sunscreen, anti-mosquito spray, hand sanitizer
nail clipper, shaving razor
band-aid
malaria tablets, immodium, activated charcoal
Electronics
asus 1016p netbook + bag
nikon d40 camera + bag
smartphone
ipod + earphones
ebook reader
headlamp
usb stick
chargers and cables
Other
quick dry sports towel
silk sleeper
toiletries bag
wallet
passport and copies, photos
small notepad and pen
Finally all this goes into a 40-liter Deuter backpack.

That seems like a lot already. Electronics are heavy, but the ipod, phone and reader are small and don’t take much space. Anyway, I hope I can take all this as carry-on to the plane.
